Special Olympics of Penang Sports Carnival will be held as follows:
Venue: The USM Stadium
Date : 20th July, 2003
Time : 8:00 am – around 12 noon
12 of our children will be participating in the competitions. All children above 6 years old are invited to join in the march past. They will have to wear uniform T-shirts with our logo printed on them. The Association have got the T-Shirts made and will sell to members at cost price which is RM10/-. Sizes available are from 34 for children to XXXL for adults. They can be obtained at the Caring Complex between 6:30pm and 7:00pm today 15th July, or on Friday 18th July, between 3:30pm and 5:30pm. If you are not able to make on these days do call me and if I’m at home you can collect them from. We are inviting all members to come to the carnival and support our children.
Dialogue between various associations of Disabled People and SUHAKAM:

PDSA together with Autistic Support Group and ACS will be presenting one paper on behalf of Intellectually Disabled People. If you have any points to be brought up please come to the Caring Complex meeting room No. 3 at 7pm today at 7pm, to discuss about them before we include them in our paper.
Launching of Signature Campaign
Venue: Bukit Jambul Shopping Complex, Bukit Jambul, Penang

This Signature Campaign, which will be launched by Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, is organised together with various societies of Persons with Disabilities in Penang. The Campaign is in support of the passing of the Persons with Disabilities Act, this year.

1:30 pm: Welcoming Address – En. Nordin Hanafiah
1:45 pm: Keynote Address and Launching of the Signature Campaign by

Meeting Dr. Cheah Yee Peng of the Penang Hospital
Venue: Resource Centre, Penang Hospital, Jalan Utama.

Time: 9:30 am – 11:30 am
During our next coffee morning session, we’ve invited Dr. Cheah Yee Ping Consultant Paediatrician at the Penang Hospital, to give a short talk followed by questions and answers. This year, the Down Syndrome Awareness Week will be held at The Penang Hospital from 15th September – 20th September 2003.
There will be exhibitions regarding Down Syndrome and information on various centres for Children with Disabilities. Official opening will be held in the morning at the Foyer, Penang Hospital, Jalan Utama, Penang.
