Welcome Y2000!!
As
we say goodbye to the year 1999, we welcome the new millenium with open arms.
May it bring us better tidings in the years to come. We would like to wish all
our members a ‘Selamat Hari Raya’
and a ‘Happy
Chinese New Year.’
We
ended the year 1999 with a bang with the ‘Millenium Party’ on 18th,
December,1999 at the Dewan Masyarakat Penyayang where we had overwhelming
response and even had new kindergartens calling us up to book them for
placements for future concerts. Ah Charn and Mohan had to do a lot of posing as
they were hot items for souvenir photographs. Our Association emerged champions
in the ‘Special category’ clinching the PDSA CUP while
children from Pal Nursery emerged champions in the kindergarten category
clinching the EAGLE
CUP. This concert was officiated by YB Dr Teng Hock Nan and YB Datuk Dr
K. Rajapathy. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with the staff of GMC to make
this party a success. We are also very grateful to Dato’ Robert Phang who not
only sponsored this concert but also roped in his friend, Mr Vijaya Kumar from
Kuala Lumpur to donate RM3000-00 towards our association causes. Thank
you Dato’ Robert Phang and Mr Vijaya Kumar.
Our
First AGM for the Association for 1999 will be held at the Dewan Masyarakat
Penyayang, Jalan Utama, 10460 Penang on February 26th, 2000 from
3.00 pm to 5.00pm. All members
are encouraged to attend this AGM and if you haven’t paid up your dues, kindly
do so as only paid-up members can vote at the AGM.
This
bulletin is put forth by the PDSA to disseminate information to all members of
this association and to keep you updated on what’s been done and what’s
coming in the near future. Updated information is also available at our own
website at http://dsapenang.freeservers.com.
Any articles, suggestions and personal experiences with your child are most
welcome.
